* Red Dog's Studio is a watermark and NOT part of the actual piece
Kelly has been painting as long as she could hold a brush. Her style began to develop as a teenager when her characters began to reveal themselves and come to life. Painting has always been her passion and dare say therapy throughout the years and her pieces have become her visual diaries. Combining bold colors, whimsical lines and merging her subjects together in a way that is uniquely her own is what sets her apart and makes her pieces so intriguing.
Red Dog was born in the summer of 1990 at Interlochen Arts Camp. My family dog, Bentley, passed away while I was gone. I was so upset my painting instructor told me to go in the corner and work as fast as I could to express how I was feeling. I completed a series of over 30 pieces that afternoon. A red dog appeared in every one, my characters came to life, and the rest is Red Dog's Studio history.
* Red Dog is a signature and personal reminder of the day I began to see my world.
